We were so glad to have 450 people join us for our Annual Community Christmas Dinner on Thursday, December 10!
We served a tasty, dignified, and festive meal with all the trimmings: turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, and veggies. Our kitchen staff, under the leadership of Remy, also whipped up a delicious vegetarian loaf that gained instant popularity!
Our Executive Director, Claire Barcik, and Housing Initiatives Manager, Christine Swearing, opened the meal with welcoming words, and Rosedale United Church’s Rev. Karen Bowles led us in saying grace.
With live holiday music and plenty of good conversation to go around, the night was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.
From preparing the food, seating the guests, and serving everyone, all sorts of talents came together to make this night a huge success.
We’d like to thank the Rosedale United Church for sponsoring the event and for the wonderful work that all the volunteers contributed, making sure the night went off without a hitch.
Most of all, thank you to everyone who came to share a meal with us this holiday season!
