Volunteer Toronto honours Marilyn Wright

CRC is privileged to enjoy the support of hundreds of dedicated volunteers. One extraordinary long-time supporter,  Marilyn Wright, was among 25 people honoured April 18 asMarilyn-web a Volunteer Toronto Legacy Award winner for 2017.

Marilyn’s involvement with the CRC stretches back to 2008. Since then, she has assisted in numerous ways. In preparation for the opening of our 40 Oaks facility in 2012, Marilyn helped coordinate cash and in-kind donations to outfit all 87 affordable housing units in the space. She also has served as Event Co-Chair of our recurring Building Lives Benefit and has been CRC’s chief corporate volunteer team liaison, hosting more than 90 teams for a combined 25,000+ volunteer hours in 2016 alone. In addition, she contributed 2,080 hours of her own time last year.

In addition to serving CRC, Marilyn is an active supporter of other causes, including orthopaedic and arthritic research.

Many congrats to Marilyn. We are deeply honoured to have her as part of the extended CRC family.
