The CRC is looking to hire seven positions for summer 2019, through a Canada Summer Jobs Grant. Application deadline for all positions is Monday, June 3, 2019 by 5:00 pm.

Due to funding requirements, candidates must be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) and legally entitled to work in Canada. A focus will be given to underrepresented youth in the following groups: recent immigrants, recent refugees, indigenous and other visible minorities, women in STEM, individuals with disabilities, individuals who have not completed high school, or for those who this would be their first job experience.

This position will be a member of CRC Local #2864.


We are looking for a talented, motivated summer Communications Assistant to assist with implementing a communication strategy that connects, promotes and engages CRC with its community partners, local businesses, and the communities we serve. S/he will take a lead role in developing aesthetically appealing digital and print communications templates, and keep CRC’s website and social media updated and with relevant content.

The CRC I RPCFC is looking for a talented, motivated summer Community Gardens Assistant to provide support for the 40 Oaks Community Garden and the Regent Park Community Gardens. CRC supports 187 community gardens in Regent Park (communal and allotment). The Gardens Assistant will work closely with the Community Gardens Coordinator to deliver educational programming for low-income seniors, families, and children in gardens serving over 200 people in Regent Park. The Assistant will support dynamic community programming in our local park, including bake oven ambassador training and events.

The CRC I RPCFC is looking for a talented, motivated summer Good Food Market Assistant to support the success of “Taste of Regent Park”, a weekly community festival of food and culture that takes place Wednesday evenings in July and August. This event creates an opportunity for the diverse residents of Regent Park to mix and share their culture, food, and skills. The Market Assistant will assist with all aspects of the weekly community event – setup, vendor and volunteer coordination, entertainment, and evaluation and will take a leadership role overseeing social media and event promotion, as well as developing family friendly activities. The Market Assistant will play an indispensable role ensuring that local community members, media, and people across the city are aware of the event, and ensuring that there are fun and engaging activities made available to all members of the community.

The CRC I RPCFC is looking for a talented, motivated summer Finance/Admin Assistant to assist administrative and management teams at the CRC, enabling efficient and smooth operation of key programming that aims to reduce food insecurity, provide stable housing and alleviate poverty in Regent Park. This is an ideal opportunity for a young person looking to build a variety of skills in finance and administration. They will develop skills in administration/reception, donation processes, finance admin, and Health and Safety.  This is a great opportunity to be exposed to a community-facing non-profit environment.

The CRC I RPCFC is looking for a talented, motivated summer Development Assistant to assist with implementing a fund development strategy that supports CRC’s mission. S/he will take a lead role in supporting funder research, growing a funder pipeline and creating a funder calendar, proposal writing, direct mail and email campaign planning and design, donor stewardship, annual fundraising event planning and donation requests, donations processing and database management. S/he will also support the Volunteer Coordinator and Executive Coordinator as appropriate.

The CRC I RPCFC is looking for a talented, motivated summer Market Food and Volunteer Assistant will provide assistance to the Taste of Regent Park Coordinator by coordinating and supporting weekly ToRP catered meals and food vendors, and coordinating volunteer recruitment, engagement and supervision. The Market Food and Volunteer Assistant will participate as a CRC team member and will also help with the community meal program as needed.
