BUILDING LIVES
Community Meal Program

The Community Meal Program is a space where everyone can connect over a healthy breakfast or lunch. In 2018, we served over 59,000 nutritious, culturally diverse, delicious and dignified meals to people in the downtown east who are experiencing food insecurity.

Meals are offered free-of-charge on a drop-in basis, and in a dignified manner, which means participants do not go through an intake process and our team of volunteers and staff provide table service.

Breakfast is served 2 days a week (Mondays & Fridays from 9:00 am-10:00 am) and lunch is served 4 days a week (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm).

Our meals are made from scratch with fresh ingredients, and served by a team of staff and volunteers. We aim to use seasonal, local and sustainable ingredients where it is possible. We believe that all people deserve access to fresh and healthy food, served with dignity and respect.

We always provide a vegetarian option with every meal served. All meat purchased is certified Halal.

Weekend Meals

Although the Regent Park Community Food Centre does not operate its meal program on weekends, you can still access a healthy meal at 40 Oaks through Church in the City’s Saturday Dinner (5:00pm-6:30pm) and the Muslim Welfare Centre’s Sunday Regent Meals (11:30am-1:00pm).
